Customized Services by Caring Clinicians
Our team of board certified music therapists and music teachers provide convenient services in our two clinic locations in Southington and Groton as well as in homes, schools, facilities, and programs throughout the state of Connecticut. We believe in using a team-based approach to build client-centered services whether that is in music therapy sessions, music lessons, enrichment services, or in our professional development workshops. Our team engages in regular continuing education in order to provide each client with the most up to date research-based techniques. Our team is trained in building home-based programs, working through the Individualized Education Plan (IEP), providing services through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), working hand in hand with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), and providing treamtent through the Individual Family Support Plan (IFSP).
Music Therapy Services
We offer music therapy services to children and adults of all ages in individual, group, and family settings. We have experience treating individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, and neurological needs. We are also skilled in providing customized treatment plans for individuals experiencing crisis or trauma and individuals who are looking to improve their overall wellness through music. Our clinicians provide services in our clinics, at private homes, in group homes, at schools, in nursing facilities, and more.
We offer music lessons to children and adults with and without special needs. Our goal is to make each lesson fun by providing a multi-modal approach based upon each student’s individual learning style. We celebrate creativity and our lessons are much more than “day one-book one-page one”. Our students have opportunities to write original songs, play other instruments to reinforce music theory concepts, and develop improvisation skills. We offer lessons on piano, guitar, voice, percussion, general music, song-writing, and other instruments (based upon availability).
Music Enrichment Services
We custom design programs for daycares, early childhood programs, and for children of all ages. Each session is full of interactive music-making to address developmental milestones, leadership skills, literacy skills, and a variety of other target areas. Our most popular program is “Rockin’ Readers”, an early childhood program that targets literacy skills through music. Our custom drum circles to target leadership skills for high school students are a blast as well! Let us custom design a program for you!
Music for Birth Services
Infinity is currently the only provider in the state trained in Music Therapy Assisted Childbirth (MTACB). Through our Labor & Lullabies program, we offer Creative Arts Birth Education classes, MTACB, original lullaby creation, and birth music consultation services to assist with pain management. We also offer family services to help develop parent-child bonds and positive sibling relationships.
As leaders in healthcare, our team of clinicians offer professional development workshops for teachers and therapists in person and via skype. We offer customized workshops to help professionals learn how to use music to connect with, and teach, their clients and students. We also offer private consultation services. Infinity is proud to offer professional clinical supervision and business coaching services for music therapists.
We offer music events for children and adults throughout the state. Our interactive music parties are jam-packed with instrument play, movement to music, and more. Unlike a “general” birthday performer, our clinicians are able to accomodate sensory needs and other developmental concerns in order to make each event accessible to all attendees. We also offer drum circles for family reunions, corporate events, and other event gatherings.
