Bryce has been with our team from the start of Infinity and his role has changed as we have grown. He officially became our Billing Manager in 2013 and began assisting with music lessons in 2016. He majored in guitar performance at Charleston Southern University in South Carolina, and received his Certified Nursing Assistant certification from Naugatuck Community College. He has held numerous positions in residential programs for adults with developmental disabilities, positions coordinating care for older adults, has served as a 1:1 job coach, a paraprofessional in schools for children with Autism and mental health disorders, and has worked with countless others with special needs.
Bryce is also a talented musician who plays guitar, bass, piano, and percussion, as well as composes a variety of music. While living in Charleston, Bryce was an established member of a local band named Affectation. Bryce offers music lessons on guitar and percussion for individuals with and without special needs. He also provides assistance during clinic-based services when a client requires extra support.
Why does Bryce believe in the power of music?
“I always loved music. It calms me down. My son was having trouble crawling and was falling behind on his milestones. Music therapy helped him crawl. It was amazing that all it took was placing a tambourine out of his reach and a song to get him moving. Music therapy has helped him get out the few words that he now has. I have seen music get people through the rough patches in their lives. It keeps us connected to ourselves and to other humans. Music unites us. ”
