What brought Ashley to music therapy?

“I grew up being involved in music at school and found it to be a great tool for expressing myself and creating connections with others. I knew that I wanted to work in a therapeutic field, but also wanted to continue studying music, which led me to double majoring in psychology and music performance as an undergraduate. I knew that music therapy was a career that I might be interested in but didn’t know very much about it initially; so, I took a music therapy workshop class that my school offered. After that workshop, I felt confident that music therapy was the career path for me.”
